They are a seclusive Cookie who sees the fall of Sugarteara as something that was inevitable due to their disdain for the underwater city. To them, they were always an outcast from there—understanding the city was always flawed from the start and never was a glorified utopia. Following the events of Sugarteara's ruination, they now reside in Wandercrab, heavily obscured with their incomprehensible mysteriousness.
A bright yellow gaze pierces through the depth of the pitch-black abyss, causing even the most ferocious creatures to hold their breath. The owner of the writhing tentacles of the deep sea, is capable of devouring the physical and the very shadows of all existence.
With a mere swing of the Cookie's staff, dark waves unfurl like a trap, ensnaring the victims in eternal obscurity. All the solitude, sorrow, and despair submerged deep in the ocean also becomes prey to this unstoppable Cookie. Desperate to seize even the smallest faint of light, their eagerness knows no bounds.
Perhaps it is driven by the fleeting memories of basking in the radiance—even though it was only for a moment.

Abyss Monarch Cookie's Skill
Channels the darkness at certain intervals, absorbing nearby obstacles and Jellies alike, and creating Deep Sea Crystal Jellies. After obtaining a certain number of Deep Sea Crystal Jellies, the darkness transforms the Cookie, who starts flying forward while creating more darkness. After flying for a certain period of time, the darkness fades, causing the Cookie to return to normal, and gathering all the Deep Dark Energy into an energy beam. Level Up for more points for Deep Sea Crystal Jellies, more Dark Energy Beam Points, and more Dark Energy Beam Finish Points.

Considering the name, appearance, and concept, Abyss Monarch Cookie might've been inspired by Cthulhu. Coincidentally, Cthulhu is also called the Lord of the Deep. Like their Korean name states.
Abyss Monarch Cookie goes by both "Octopus Cookie" and "Ink Cloak Cookie" in the Wandercrab (1) story.
Specifically, they are referred to as "Ink Cloak Cookie" under their disguise and their past identity as "Octopus Cookie".
Abyss Monarch Cookie is referred to as "deepsea monarch" in the game's files.
Abyss Monarch Cookie is the first Legendary Cookie to be released alongside their very own Magic Candy.

It initially appeared they weren't intended to have a Magic Candy, as the Magic Candy's assets were absent from the game files before their release. Additionally, in a promotional card image, the Magic Candy's appearance was marked with a question mark.
Abyss Monarch Cookie is the fourth non-Dragon Legendary Cookie exclusively released for Cookie Run: OvenBreak, following a long pause after Timekeeper Cookie's release, which was almost 3 years prior.
In general to the Cookie Run franchise, they are the fifth Legendary Cookie to have some relation to water when including Cookie Run: Kingdom's Frost Queen Cookie (since ice is just frozen water) and Black Pearl Cookie, having especial similarities with her water and darkness theme, as well as marked similarities between their lore (having been corrupted by a Sea Fairy Cookie tear).
