Affection

Affection is a mechanic in Cookie Run: OvenBreak first introduced in the second anniversary: Grand Cookie Party update. Each Cookie starts with 0 out of 1,000 affection. It increases to represent the player becoming closer friends with a Cookie, and can never decrease.

A Cookie's affection is increased in a number of ways, including upgrading them and their Pet, running with them, and tapping them in the Lobby. Reaching over 800 affection with a Cookie gives a score bonus to an action, similar to a Costume. Reaching the full 1,000 affection doubles the effect of the affection bonus, and the Cookie will give the player a unique Basic Jelly to celebrate being "Best Friends".

Raising Affection

• Running with a Cookie in any game mode boosts their affection by 1 for every 30 seconds of continuous running. Due to this, longer runs will increase affection more than shorter ones.
• Upgrading a Cookie or their Combi Pet will increase their affection by 14 for Common Cookies, 15 for Rare Cookies, 20 for Epic Cookies, and 175 for Legendary Cookies. Pets do not have separate affection.
  • Upgrading a Cookie's Magic Candy will increase their affection by 30 for Epic Cookies, 20 for Rare Cookies, and 50 for Legendary Cookies.
• Putting a Cookie in the Lobby allows you to talk to them three times a day and give them a daily gift. Talking gives 2 affection per tap, while the effect of gifts vary. Each Cookie has a liked item and disliked item. Gifting a liked item increases affection by 15, while a disliked item doesn't increase affection at all. All other items are neutral and give 5 affection. Some Costumes change a Cookie's preferences.
• Being a member of the Royal Club Membership triples affection gained from running and talking, and it allows gifting three times a day. It also gives 20 Royal Golden Dough per month, which increase a Cookie's affection by 50 when gifted to them.

Affection Rewards

In addition to the score bonus and Jelly skin unlockable from reaching 1,000 affection with a single Cookie, there are Crystal rewards received by getting large amounts of total affection. You can see your total affection, and receive unlocked rewards, from the Lobby.
