An Effort was Made is a potential result Meal from the cooking feature in Guild mode. Unlike all other Meals, it is made purely by not following any recipes' chosen ingredients.
As it is clearly a failed dish, it will not provide any kinds of buffs to the guild members.

- When An Effort was Made was originally released, it provided a 10% bonus to Blast Mode speed. This unintentionally made it one of the better Guild Meals to use for Guild Run, and due to this, it was nerfed following the release of the Joyful Winterland update. This also made it one of the only two Guild Meals to be nerfed during that update, with the other Guild Recipe being Deluxe Tail Steak.
- Later, in the Cookie Sports Day update, its role was replaced by a newly added Guild Meal, Bitter Meat Skewers, now making this Guild Meal completely useless.
