First appearing in the Undercover at Jade Galaxy story, the Astronuts hail from Stevia Planet, and initially sought to explore the universe because they grew bored of their home planet. While flying through space, their ship encountered the Black Hole and was sucked into its gravitational pull. The twins were forced to abandon their ship via an escape pod, which ended up crashing on Earthbread. They were then able to return to Planet Stevia following a series of events that led to their capture and investigation by CASSA agents, Agent Jjajang Cookie and Agent Olive Cookie.
Behind the scorching Stevia Planet, in a shadowy corner where not even a blade of grass should grow, you might hear a curious whirring around - that's the Astronuts generating renewable energy on their trusty wheel!
Having packed themselves with the most delicious nuts in the universe, the duo managed to put down roots and survive even in the harshest enviroments.
In the sunless region of Nutster, they're absolute pros at sniffing out peanuts like it's nobody's business! Running on their wheel all day long doesn't even make them break a sweat. And when intruders appear, watch out! The cautious, timid younger sibling teams up with their bold, straightforward older sibling to fire away with their peanut ray gun, so you'd better be careful!
Sometimes, they can be spotted with their cheeks stuffed full of seeds, holded up in their wheelhouse, seemingly plotting something... Let's pretend we didn't see that world "universal domination" scribbled in their crooked handwriting on their notepad!

Astronuts' Skill
Comebine into one robot at fixed intervals. Press the slide button as a robot to fire missiles. Attack and fend off the oncoming space pirates. You must hit the final, larger pirates multiple times to chase them off. Level Up for more Pirate Strike Points and Giant Pirate Defeat Points. (There are two different robot forms that alternate each time the skill activates. While in robot form, Astronuts can triple jump.)

The space pirate found in Astronuts' skill bears a slight resemblance to the purple Space Doughnut designs from Healthy Bagel's concept art.
The two designs were originally "imagined as invaders from space" for a story that never came to fruition. It can be assumed that they were eventually repurposed as the space pirate for Astronuts' skill.
