Patch Notes are notices describing the contents of updates to a game, usually released either a few days before the update, or at the update's release, depending on the game and source of Patch Notes. The Cookie Run franchise, and other games created by Devsisters, contain two types of game notices; major ones related to a bi-weekly update, which are documented in-game and sometimes via other mediums, and minor ones related to intermittent events (bug fixes, scheduling changes, etc.), which are solely documented in-game.

A few games under the Cookie Run franchise contain a separate form of communication in which the patch notes are listed. for Cookie Run: OvenBreak, there is a blogspot page that was created with the release of the Cookiemals in the Hidden Truth of the City update; from that update up until the Lights, Camera, Action! update, each of Cookie Run: OvenBreak's major-type patch notes were documented, before being discontinued due to a lack of interest and high effort needed to maintain it. In Cookie Run: Witch's Castle, similar to the other Studio Kingdom game Cookie Run: Kingdom, Patch Notes are also recorded in the official discord server, sometimes before the in-game notices are released. Currently, for Cookie Run for Kakao/LINE Cookie Run and Cookie Run: Puzzle World, Patch Notes are only released in-game.
