Chestnut Cookie and Pudding Cookie's Trial Stories is a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak. The first part of the story was released alongside Chestnut Cookie, and the second part was released alongside Pudding Cookie.

While these cutscenes are not stored in the in-game story player, the first part can be found in Chestnut Cookie's Trial, and the second part can be found in Pudding Cookie's Trial.

In-game Summary

While going about his day, Chestnut Cookie runs into the young Pudding Cookie, who is very excited about the upcoming winter holiday. She's particularly excited about Ginger Claus, sharing her dream to one day become Ginger Claus. She questions Chestnut Cookie about if he knows how to be Ginger Claus. Since Ginger Claus delivers presents to everyone, Chestnut Cookie figures that he must know where everyone lives. Excited by this, Pudding Cookie asks if Chestnut Cookie could show her around so she can also know where every Cookie lives. Chestnut Cookie is initially reluctant, since he needs to finish delivering his papers, but eventually agrees to let Pudding Cookie tag along as he finishes his paper route. Letting Pudding Cookie ride in his bike wagon, the two explore around the village, saying hello to Herb Cookie, Muscle Cookie and Sparkling Cookie. Eventually, they hear that Ginger Claus will be at the town square. Excited, Pudding Cookie asks if Chestnut will come with her to the square, and he agrees.

Chapter 1: A Fateful Meeting Chestnut Cookie: Extra! Extra! Read all 'bout it! Today's exciting news, right here! Chestnut Cookie: OH WOW! What an awesome Festive Tree! Is it that time of year again already? Chestnut Cookie: Everyone's excited for the holidays. It's good to see so many smiles, hehe. Welp, I can work AND smile too! Chestnut Cookie: Huh? What's this colorful ball thingy? Chestnut Cookie: Erm... Hey, you dropped this! Pudding Cookie: *EEP!* Oh, OH! Thanks! Happy holidays! Chestnut Cookie: Oh, erm... Happy holidays! Pudding Cookie: I'm Pudding Cookie. What's your name? Chestnut Cookie: My name's Chestnut Cookie! Are you getting ready for the holidays? Pudding Cookie: Yup! I'm getting presents ready for all the Cookies! Pudding Cookie: Because I wanna be Ginger Claus! Pudding Cookie: Hey, hey! Do you know how to be Ginger Claus? Chestnut Cookie: Huh? Hmm... Pudding Cookie's Trial Story

In-game Summary

Chestnut Cookie and Pudding Cookie make their way to the town square, where Pudding Cookie is immediately impressed by the giant Festive Tree on display. The two are then approached by (very familiar looking) Ginger Claus, who praises the two for being good Cookies and gifts them delicious Bear Jellies. When Pudding Cookie asks Ginger Claus (?) how he became Ginger Claus, he replies that all there is to it is to simply "Be a good friend, tell the truth, and always be brave!", and encourages Pudding Cookie's dreams of one day becoming just like him. Just as Chestnut Cookie begins to question if he's seen Ginger Claus' face somewhere before, the definitely-real Ginger Claus makes a hasty retreat, leaving the two young Cookies alone to admire the Festive Tree. Pudding Cookie thanks Chestnut Cookie as she wouldn't have met Ginger Claus today without him, and Chestnut Cookie confides that it was also his first time meeting Ginger Claus, as well as his first time receiving a present. Now, he feels like he understands why other Cookies look forward to the winter holiday season so much. The two are then found by Pudding Cookie's siblings, who have been looking all over for Pudding Cookie. Pudding Cookie shares the exciting events of the day, and the siblings invite Chestnut Cookie over to their house for a holiday party. Initially shocked, since they only met today, Chestnut Cookie excitedly accepts after Pudding Cookie declares him her new best friend.
