Cookie Chest is a type of Chest found in Cookie Run: OvenBreak. It is the lowest level of Chest, and does not have a prefix. Its current form was added during the Season 2 update on August 30th, 2017.

This Chest type is the only kind that is bought with Coins instead of Crystals. As Coins are far easier to earn, this Chest is very affordable. To keep it from being too useful, the basic Cookie Chest can not be bought for six hours after purchasing it once.

When opened, the Chest will provide 30 total copies of Cookies. 16 copies are guaranteed to be unlocked Cookies from the Rare category, and the remaining 14 copies will be a variety of either unlocked Common category Cookies or unlocked Epic category Cookies. Epic Cookies are not guaranteed to come out of this Chest and come out in very low quantities when they do appear.

Buying this Chest is not recommended for trying to earn Epic Cookies, but for all but the newest players, 99,000 Coin 001 is practically free. This Chest can be somewhat helpful for maxing out Common Cookies, since a large quantity are needed to reach max level, and the higher level Chests contain zero Commons. Common Cookies are not especially useful, but are sometimes needed in Guild Run or Grand Champions League Arenas, and upgrading any Cookie helps raise Escape Level and increase the power of Cookie Cheer Squads.

In Season 1, Cookie Chests had two different designs, but the same name. They gave a higher amount of Common Cookies, but cost Crystals.

Cookie Chests were replaced by Cookie Potions and Trial Star Candies in the second half of the Project Cookie Runway update on March 14th, 2023.
