Cookie Detective: The Lost Holiday is a special event in Cookie Run: OvenBreak. It is the fourth Cookie Detective event, the first chapter focuses on Walnut Cookie's investigation into the disappearance of Eggnog Cookie, and the second chapter focuses on finding out the Cookie who is pretending to be the holiday Cookie.
Players collect Case Notes during the event in order to interrogate Cookies and collect their testimony. Case Notes can be found in Breakout, Cookie Trials, Main Story, Raid Run, Guild Run and Trophy Race, with a higher chance of appearing when running with Lollipop Cookie in chapter 1 and Butterbear Cookie in chapter 2. Unlike the previous Cookie Detective event, Case Notes cannot be earned by completing missions. After collecting at least 400 Case Notes in one Round, Case Notes will appear less frequently until the start of the next Round.
Players may only interrogate Suspects with one line of questioning every Round, which costs Case Notes. Players gather information that helps them deduce the identities of the Suspects through collecting testimonies. Before the end of the Round, players must decide which Suspects to detain. They can alter their decision as many times as they like before the Round ends, but they must wait 10 seconds before doing so. In comparison to the last Cookie Detective event, the cooldown for changing Suspects is now only 10 seconds rather than 10 minutes.
After each Round, the Suspect receiving the most votes from the players will be detained. When the results are finalized, the truth will be revealed, and players will be able to see if the detained Suspect was Innocent or Guilty. Players are unable to vote for any Cookies who have previously been detained. Each Round lasts for 2 days.
A portion of the story will be revealed, and all players will receive 300 Crystals if the Guilty Suspect is detained. However, if a Suspect is falsely accused, "Someone's Thoughts" will reveal the identity of the Guilty Suspect. Rewards will be based on a ratio of the total number of votes and the player's individual votes. In Chapter 1, there are 16 Cookies to investigate, with 5 of them being the Culprits, and in Chapter 2, there are 11 Cookies to investigate, with 5 of them being the Culprits.
At the end of each Chapter, each player is rewarded 200 Rainbow Cubes for each Guilty Suspect they voted for.

There are five Bonus Missions to complete, each of which gives a reward and unlocks a special story.
