Custom Runs is a seasonal recurring game mode in Cookie Run: OvenBreak, which was first introduced as a special event on July 28th, 2020 as part of the Season 5 update "for testing purposes and gathering player's feedback.".
This mode allows players to customize a match and choose the map and combi for the run. Other players can then join and run with the same settings and try to get the best score in the time allotted, similar to Trophy Race. The Cookies, Pets, and Treasures may be specifically set, randomized, or be chosen by each competitor. Custom Runs can be public or private, and can have a custom title.
Each season has a unique currency that can be exchanged for various seasonal rewards in the shop.
Participating in Custom Runs costs Custom Run Tickets. Similar to Hearts or Winding Keys, Custom Run Tickets refill at a rate of one every 30 minutes, up to a maximum of 20. Ten Tickets can also be bought for 300. Three tickets are needed to join a Custom Run, but it will be consumed only if the run has been started. For creating Custom Runs, five tickets are consumed, but more tickets are not consumed for the first run.
There are four different Leagues to run in, which determine the level limits, the amount of seasonal currency rewarded, and the map times. All players below Escape Level 65 can run in all Leagues, but each player has a recommended League. Players above Escape Level 65 cannot enter Sprout League. After choosing a League, players can either join a Custom Run or create one.
When joining a run, a list of public Custom Runs is shown, and there is also the option to select Quick Join, which puts the player in a random run that still has space available. When creating a run, the host selects the map, Combi, title, and whether or not the run is Private, and for Team League, can also choose if players can select the team they prefer or be assigned to a team randomly. The host of the Custom Run has the power to change all of the settings as long as the run has not started, and they can ban players, removing them and preventing them from joining that run again. If the host leaves, a random player is chosen to be the new host.
After joining or creating a Custom Run, players are placed in a lobby, where they can see other competitors. All competitors have to select the Ready Up option before the Custom Run begins. If any Cookies, Pets or Treasures are set to free choice, players can change their combi at any time until the run begins. If a player is playing in a Team League Custom Run, they can see the teams' collective score during their runs in real-time. If the Combi is set to include a cookie or a pet a player does not have, they can still run with it at level 1, even for Special cookies like Hello Kitty, Mimmy, and Cookiedroid. Treasures are not given a level 1 if a player does not own the Treasure, however. In the lobby, players can communicate using emotes, mostly identical to Friendly Run's menu emotes. Players can only leave a lobby by tapping the Exit button, and can interact with other modes and menus while still keeping their place in the lobby. Repeatedly leaving lobbies without playing in a short time results in a small cooldown before you can join one again.
Custom Runs can have up to eight runners. If space is available, players can tap empty spaces to invite friends or guildmates, or copy the Custom Run ID and share it via social media. Other players can then enter the Custom Run ID from the menu and join the lobby. If a run is set to Private, invites and the Custom Run ID are the only way to join. Once at least two players are present and all players are ready, the run will begin.
After the timer runs out (which can last from 4 to 6 minutes depending on the League and map), or if all players press "FINISHED" after completing their runs, seasonal currency are distributed to players based on their scores, similar to Trophies. Runs with two or three runners will give less seasonal currency, and higher-level Leagues will give more of it. The seasonal currency can then be spent at the Custom Run Shop. When the Custom Run ends, players can choose to either stay in the lobby for another run or quit.
In Super CookieBots, which replaces Team League while active, players compete against CookieBot teams instead of other players. The host sets the Difficulty of these Cookiebots between Easy, Normal, and Hard, with higher Difficulties rewarding more currency. In all other aspects, the mode functions identically to Team League.

Leagues[]
Players will obtain seasonal currency depending on their score and the League in which the Custom Run is made: 10~30 in Sprout, 15~50 in Runner, 20~60 in Infinite and 15~70 in Team.
The Combis can be set to any Cookie, Pet and Treasure, including Special ones, but not POWER+ Treasures. They can also be randomized, so every player uses the same randomized Combi revealed when the run begins, or can be set to free, in which players can choose their own Combi. Free and random can be combined with each other and fixed settings, so for example there can be one random Treasure, one fixed Treasure, and one free choice Treasure.
Maps[]
There are twenty maps to choose from, all of which are from previous modes and events. Some minor changes have been added from the original forms. For example, Colorful Star Jelly Parties are added to Giant Fossil Cliff, Faraway Ocean combines areas from Land 9 and Champions League, and Bonus Time has been changed on multiple maps. The map can also be set to random, and is only revealed when the run begins. The hardest maps are unable to be selected in Sprout League.
When a Custom Run is made, the player can give it a title that is up to 20 characters long. In English, the default titles are as follows. Many are direct quotes from specific Cookies.
The seasonal currency is used to purchase various items from the shop. Most items have a limit on the number of times they can be purchased, and some are seasonal.

Custom Runs are the only way for players who didn't receive the Special Cookies, Pets, and Treasures in the Cookie Run x Hello Kitty collaboration to run with them.
They are also currently the only way to play certain maps as well.

The icon for the Infinite League shows GingerBrave in the same pose as the splash screen for Season 2: Wicked Breakout Party.
Cookies have Endless Stamina in Custom Runs, likely so players aren't prevented from running with a specific combi, and because the ticket system already limits the amount of runs.
Unlike many Event Maps, Magic Ingredient Pouches appear in Custom Runs. It is possible to find Full Moon Pearl in one of them.
