Friendly Run is a mode introduced into Cookie Run: OvenBreak on August 31st, 2018. In this mode, the player runs in real time with another player online in order to achieve the best possible score.
History[]
On August 27th, 2019, Friendly Run was shut down for about 1 month and returned on October 10th, 2019 for a limited edition version called "Halloween Run". The event ended on November 3rd, 2019.
In tandem with 
Raspberry Mousse Cookie being released, a new limited version called "Valentine's Run" was released to the public on January 29th, 2020. It was removed on February 25th, 2020.
On April 28th, 2020, Friendly Run returned alongside 
Apple Cookie's release. This Friendly Run was themed after the Dreamy CookieLand! event, and was only available for the duration of that event.
On August 6th, 2020, Friendly Run returned to coincide with the release of 
Sea Fairy Cookie's Magic Candy, this time themed around Lost City of Sugarteara and matching the theme of the update.
On November 25th, 2020, Friendly Run returned to coincide with the release of 
Popping Candy Cookie, this time themed around the Dazzling Year's End Party and matching the theme of the update.
On February 26th, 2021, Friendly Run returned to coincide with the release of 
Ice Juggler Cookie, this time themed around the Pudding Cup Circus and matching the theme of the update.
On May 28th, 2021, Friendly Run returned to coincide with the release of 
Butter Pretzel Cookie, this time themed around the Butter Painting Affair and matching the theme of the update.
A QnA at one of Devsisters' meetups stated that the original Friendly Run would return with improvements. Whether or not future event releases were the improvement is unclear.
Mechanics[]
In Friendly Run, the goal is for both players to stay alive and work together for as long as possible to score well, as well as attempting to achieve perfect runs during certain segments of the mode where the game asks the players to perform to the best of their abilities.
During its first release, Friendship Badge Pouches could be picked up on the course, which could be used in the Friendly Run exclusive Friendship Badge Exchange for various Cookies, Chest Keys, Magic Powder, Treasure Draw Tickets, and Rescue Tickets, among other things. There were also two exclusive Treasures that could only be obtained from this area, Firm Friendship Ring and True Friendship Pendant. Both of these Treasures have since expired and are no longer functional and the Friendship Badge Exchange has been replaced in favor of giving players a list of missions to complete for rewards.
