GingerBrave's Tale is a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak. The first five chapters were released for the Yogurt Dunes Escapade update, completely replacing the version of GingerBrave's Tale that was released alongside Operation Timeguard, with subsequent chapters being released during later updates. It follows GingerBrave and his friends as they follow the Paradise Compass.

I've been looking everywhere for ya! I got ya! GingerBright: Eurgh... Oh, Gingerbrave?! I-I-I must've passed out from this blistering heat...! GingerBrave: We can't stay here... We're gonna bust out of this joint! GingerBright: What? Escape the Oven?! But we're just Cookies...! That's never been done before! GingerBrave: Don't worry! Together, we can do anything! GingerBright: OK, I trust you! Let's go! GingerBrave: Ready? One... two... THREE! RUN FOR IT! GingerBrave: Is this what they call "fresh air?" Wow, it's so refreshing! GingerBright: I'm glad that hot and terrible Oven is behind us! GingerBrave: Choco Drop looks really happy too! GingerBrave: But back to business! Who knows when the Witch'll be back? We need to keep moving! GingerBrave: The air out here is filled with so many smells! It really is a big, amazing world, isn't it? GingerBright: Yeah, but... *sniff sniff* That smell in the air... It's the smell of... baking... Cookies? GingerBrave: NOPE! I take it back! Some smells are bad! Horribly, terribly bad! GingerBrave: We really can't stay here! ... GingerBright, I think we should escape from this house, once and for all! GingerBright: Wait, wait! Hold on! We need a plan. We can't just keep running away forever! GingerBright: Until a few moments ago, our entire world was that hot oven! We don't know much about the outside world! GingerBrave: But what if the Witch finds us...? What if the- WAIT! What's that noise? GingerBrave: Is it the Witch?! OH NO! GingerBright: No, it's coming from behind that bag. The Witch isn't that small, so maybe it's a Cookie?

GingerBrave: It's coming from here! GingerBrave: STRAWBERRY COOKIE?! So we weren't the only Cookies to escape the Oven! When did you get here? GingerBright: We thought you were the Witch! Strawberry Cookie: GingerBrave? And GingerBright? Oh, PHEW! Were you the ones who opened the Oven? Strawberry Cookie: I saw the door had been opened... So I snuck out too... But there are lots of scary looking things here... Strawberry Cookie: A dried mandragonion fell from the pantry and almost hit my head... Every moment out here is scary... GingerBrave: That flask on the table looks scary too... And there's something moving inside it? GingerBright: Everyone, freeze! Something's rumbling! Is this what they call an earthquake?! GingerBrave: !!! GingerBrave: That huge shadow! It's the WITCH! Strawberry Cookie: She's huge! Her footsteps are so loud! And... and... that cackling...! I'm so scared! GingerBright: We need to hurry up and get out of here before she finds out about us! GingerBrave: There's gotta be a way out... OVER THERE! The window is open! GingerBrave: Let's sneak past by hiding behind the plates... and when we see a chance, we make a break for it and jump! Strawberry Cookie: But that window is really high up? Even if we do make it and jump out... What if all of our legs crumble and break...? GingerBrave: Strawberry Cookie... That's some grim imagination you got there... Resources in this mine have become scarce, and we're here to investigate! Cream Puff Cookie: I'm learning magic at school... but I decided to help Alchemist Cookie for this project! Just in case she needed some magical help, heehee! GingerBrave: You're a magician?! That's awesome! Hey, can you check is this compass is like... under some magic spell or something? Cream Puff Cookie: I... I've never seen anything like this before. But I can give it a try...! Alchemist Cookie: That's not the greatest idea. Who knows what might happen if a spell backfires in this cave... Cream Puff Cookie: Oh... OK... Cream Puff Cookie: AH! I may not know what sort of magic is at play, but I remember reading about something like this in an old magic tome! GingerBright: Oh, what is it? Can you please tell us? GingerBrave: Look at all the Pink Bear Jellies! They look so delicious! AWESOME! Alchemist Cookie: Not so awesome, actually... Alchemist Cookie: This is where the most crystal deposits could be found... Now, it looks like there's just Bear Jellies instead of Crystals. Alchemist Cookie: My initial hypothesis was that the crystals in this cave were suddenly transformed into Bear Jellies. It seems... I was right! GingerBright: But... how is that possible? Crystals can't be eaten... but then they turned into something that can be eaten...? Alchemist Cookie: Let me think for a moment... If this so-called magic compass is reacting to these crystals, then it must mean there's signs of magic here. Alchemist Cookie: I knew this'd come in handy! I concocted a new elixir, just for this.
