GingerBrave's Tale was a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak that was released alongside 4th Anniversary Event: Operation Timeguard! as part of the 4th Anniversary update.

The story followed GingerBrave and his friends as they left the Witch's house in search of a home. The events of this story are followed by the events of Operation Timeguard.

These cutscenes were completely replaced by a newer version of the story during the Yogurt Dunes Escapade update, and can therefore no longer be found anywhere in-game. Characters such as Skater Cookie were also replaced in the process.

GingerBrave	Is everyone ready? It’s time to break out of here, once and for all!
Strawberry Cookie	This seems dangerous… We don’t know what’s out there…
GingerBright	Strawberry Cookie’s right! We shouldn’t be too reckless.
Skater Cookie	But we can’t just stay here!
Strawberry Cookie	Well yeah, but…
GingerBrave	Nothing is going to change if we just sit around! Let’s find a place just for us Cookies!
GingerBright	... You’re right! I’m coming with you!
GingerBrave	There must be a better place, a paradise waiting just for us! But first, we need to escape.

• The locations GingerBrave and his friends visit and the order they visit them in are identical to the twelve Trophy Race lands preceding Champions League; the only difference is Crystal Pudding Underworld (Land 4-1) being called Crystal Pudding Cave in the story.

• These cutscenes are identical to the parts of Operation Timeguard that show the unaltered or repaired timelines.
  • While these cutscenes were removed from the game with the release of the updated version of the story; however, Operation Timeguard remains in the in-game story player for those who unlocked them.

• The fact that this version of GingerBrave's tale was removed from the game and replaced with a drastically different sequence of events implies that these events, and by extension, the events of Operation Timeguard, never happened in the current storyline.
