Gold Gems (Korean: 골드젬, goldeujem) are a currency used in Cookie Run: OvenBreak that released in the first half of the Trip to Paradise update on September 26th, 2023. The currency replaced several currencies, and was added with the intention of allowing players to play the game mode of their choice, and choose the rewards you want to receive.[1]
Obtaining[]
Gold Gems are obtainable in nearly every game mode with little exception. This includes Trophy Race, Breakout, Champions League, Guild Runs, among others.
In the Gem Exchange Center, there is an updating list of modes that the player can obtain Gold Gems from, including the amount of Gold Gem's that the player has obtained from each mode over the past week.
Usage[]
- Gold Gems are mainly used in the Gem Exchange Centre. They allow players to exchange their Gold Gems for items such as Crystals, Coins, Cookie Potions, Pet Potions and Rainbow Cubes.
- They can also be exchanged for limited items such as lobby designs, diary calendar and diary stickers. Limited and returning costumes can also be purchased by gold gems, with limited costumes bought separately and returning costumes (such as the costumes previously obtained by Trophy Race: Champions League and limited events) are obtained via the Vintage Costume Jar.
- They can be used to exchange for a copy of a legendary Cookie (3000 gems), Pet (2000 gems) or Treasure (8000 gems). However, the player only can obtain a copy of a legendary Cookie or Pet per week and can only obtain a copy of a legendary Treasure in the span of 2 months.
- The most recent legendary releases also cost Legendary Gems.
