Happy Cookie Festival is a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak that was released during the 3rd Anniversary update of the same name. It follows Birthday Cake Cookie as she tries to plan a party despite various things going wrong.

The cutscenes could be unlocked by completing objectives related to the 3rd Anniversary: Happy Cookie Festival! event, but were not stored in the story player as the story player had not been introduced. However, Main Story stages called "The Best Birthday Cake" were added to the game with the Long Journey for Life update, and the cutscenes are now able to be unlocked and added to the story player by completing these stages.

Summary

GingerBrave and GingerBright decide to set up a party at a venue. Gumball Cookie suggests inviting DJ Cookie to the party, but Skater Cookie tells him that DJ Cookie is busy with a world tour. Cheesecake Cookie wants to introduce the Cookies to a Cookie that always helps her plan parties. Birthday Cake Cookie appears and tells the Cookies that she will plan the perfect party, with the first step being to make a cake. As the cake is being made, Pancake Cookie wants to eat it but is told not to by Orange Cookie, while Lemon Cookie reluctantly places cream decorations and Cheerleader Cookie cheers him on. Amidst the cake making, Firecracker Cookie appears and wants to test out a new firecracker, much to Birthday Cake Cookie’s surprise. Birthday Cake Cookies takes Firecracker Cookie aside for a talk, causing the latter to disappear. Cherry Cookie notices the large cake and wants to blow it up, sparking back Firecracker Cookie’s excitement. Birthday Cake Cookie once again takes Firecracker Cookie aside to talk, this time along with Cherry Cookie.

Birthday Cake Cookie is seen ordering lemonade from Sparkling Cookie, worrying that her plan is going awry. After thanking Sparkling Cookie for listening to her worries, Birthday Cake Cookie returns and finishes the cake. Whipped Cream Cookie, donning his Night of Reverie costume, is inspired by the cake to dance. Birthday Cake Cookie announces that the next step is to set up party decorations. Firecracker Cookie wants to decorate with firecrackers and party poppers, causing Birthday Cake Cookie to tell the Cookie not to interfere with her plan. Firecracker Cookie is saddened due to only wanting to help, and runs away, causing Birthday Cake Cookie to wonder if she was being too harsh.

GingerBright notices that Birthday Cake Cookie has been looking down, but Birthday Cake Cookie brushes it off. The Cookies are excited about the nearly complete party, but feel that something’s missing. Birthday Cake Cookie realizes that decorations were the last step she had planned and is unsure what to do, when Firecracker Cookie brings multiple arcade games for the Cookies to play. Firecracker Cookie is then seen ordering lemonade from Sparkling Cookie similar to Birthday Cake Cookie earlier. Firecracker Cookie states that although firecrackers put a smile on every Cookie’s face, Birthday Cake Cookie is unhappy. Meanwhile, Birthday Cake Cookie announces the final step, gift wrapping. Dr. Wasabi Cookie has brought the spiciest wasabi peas she could find, and Mustard Cookie has brought spicy mustard sauce, much to the other Cookies’ disgust. Pancake Cookie has brought Acorn Jellies, while Roll Cake Cookie is unimpressed by his brother’s gift and has brought a roadroller.

After the gifts have all been stacked and the party is about to begin, Firecracker Cookie arrives with a gift, but it seems to have gone missing. Birthday Cake Cookie spots the gift and returns it to the excited Cookie, who reveals that the gift is a SuperDuper Firecracker Xtreme. The other Cookies are excited to see what it can do, when Firecracker Cookie decides to place it atop the cake. Birthday Cake Cookie feels her party plan has been ruined as the firecracker explodes atop the cake, but the other Cookies begin to laugh and celebrate amongst the mess of cake. Firecracker Cookie tells Birthday Cake Cookie that parties don’t always need plans to be fun, and Birthday Cake Cookie realizes that she was too fixated on the plan. The Cookies celebrate at the party and DJ Cookie arrives. The party truly begins as DJ Cookie sets the beat. Birthday Cake Cookie and Firecracker Cookie both order lemonade from Sparkling Cookie, and Birthday Cake Cookie states that the party was extra special because they prepared it together.
