Previously an NPC during the Tales of The Wishing Lotus update, Hydrangea Cookie is the attendant of Lotus Dragon Cookie, and is a resident of the Lotus Palace. Appearing to be polite on the surface, she is unquestionably loyal to Lotus Dragon Cookie and follows their every order.
From the richest of soil, watered by the summer drizzle, a rich collection of hydrangeas were picked with care. These exceptional flowers were used to adorn this Cookie! Her manners and flowers caught the eye of the one sitting atop the Lotus Palace and ever since, Hydrangea Cookie has attended to the greatest entity of the land.
Though she seems quite busy carrying scrolls and parchment here and there, she always makes time to watch the flowers! In fact, she'll drop everything to adore a bed of flowers at any chance. But Hydrangea Cookie, weren't you in the middle of something important? Duties can wait! Come sun or rain, there's always time to adore the flowers. And according to her, every Cookie gets soggy from time to time.
What does it matter if you become soggy today or tomorrow? Soggy or not, the hydrangeas will always find a way to bloom. Just go with the flow, she smiles, as droplets of water hang upon her long lashes.

Hydrangeas start growing at certain intervals. While running in the hydrangea field, Hydrangea Party Jellies appear mid-air. Collecting them will create circles of Hydrangea Flower Jellies. Jumping on a bed of hydrangeas will make the Cookie bounce up slightly into the air, granting Hydrangea Bounce Points. Level Up for more points for Hydrangea Flower Jellies and more Hydrangea Bounce Points.

During her skill, Hydrangea Cookie jumps on 6 hydrangea beds, generating Hydrangea Party Jellies before each bed appears, matching the bed's color. The final bed gives no Hydrangea Party Jelly, triggering the Magic Candy's cooldown. When the Magic Candy activates, a Hydrangea Party Jelly spawns, its color based on collected Yellow, Pink, or Frozen Bear Jellies, similar to Jelly Cream Whisk or Tricolor Chewy Rice Cake, where the colors are merely cosmetic and do not provide bonus points. If Bear Jellies are evenly collected, the color is random, and if no Bear Jellies have been sufficiently collected, the Hydrangea Party Jelly's color simply defaults to yellow. Each Hydrangea Party Jelly spawns 90 Hydrangea Jellies in three circles of 30.
Fixed an issue where the added skill time would differ depending on if Hydrangea Piles had been stepped on before the skill was interrupted (Bonus Time, entering the submarine, etc.).
Hydrangea Cookie is the first Cookie to debut with a Hard Mode Trial.
She is also the first Cookie have a Trial without Bonus Missions.
Interestingly, Hydrangea Cookie was the third Cookie released in a row that has a theme revolving flowers, following Bellflower Cookie and Lilac Cookie from the previous updates.
In the language of flowers, blue hydrangeas would often represent coldness and disinterest, while purple hydrangeas represent elegance and royalty. This fits with Hydrangea Cookie very well as she is a mixture of both colors, where this can be seen in the way she treats other Cookies and also in her appearance and relationship to Lotus Dragon Cookie.

Even though Hydrangea Cookie is more unique than the rest, she is not the only hydrangea Cookie in the game. This can be seen in the GingerBrave's Tale story where there were multitudes of hydrangea Cookies, all bearing the same droplet aesthetic, trapping GingerBrave and friends temporarily.
It is heavily implied that the hydrangeas on Hydrangea Cookie’s hair aren’t originally part of her hair.
Hydrangea Cookie’s original Korean description states that she was created with just hydrangea leaves, and her costumes demonstrate that she can completely change the types of hydrangeas displayed on her head.
Hydrangea Cookie is unique in that her Magic Candy's Jellies changes appearances depending on the type of Bear Jellies the player has collected throughout the run.
Hydrangea Cookie was the winner of the Champions League statuette voting contest[1], where she became the first Cookie to get a statuette after the game mode's return.
