Mission! Save the Future! is a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak that was released during the Save the Future! update.

The first chapter follows String Gummy Cookie as he tries to destroy Time Manipulators, and Croissant Cookie as she tries to apprehend him. The second chapter follows Croissant Cookie and String Gummy Cookie as they try to repair the timeline. Uniquely, the conclusion of the story differs based on whether the player choses "Here" or "There" as the final cutscene.

The cutscenes could be unlocked by completing objectives related to the Save the Future! event when it was active. As of the Operation: Time Fixers update, these cutscenes can be unlocked through the Mission! Save the Future! special chapter in Story Mode.

Croissant Cookie	Phew, all done! I've finally finished the Time Manipulator!
Timekeeper Cookie	Did you really need to work that hard?
Croissant Cookie	Timekeeper Cookie! Long time, no see!
Timekeeper Cookie	I have been here since morning! You would have noticed if you looked up from that schematic once in a while.
Croissant Cookie	Would you look at the time! I swear, time really starts flying by whenever I get focused on something.
Croissant Cookie	The Cookies who went to test the new prototypes should be back soon, then I'll be able to finish the last few tweaks!
Croissant Cookie	Oh, that's right! You can have one too! It's the Time Manipulator I told you about before!
Timekeeper Cookie	You realize I do not need such a device those to traverse time at will, right?
Croissant Cookie	I guess, you are better than anyone else with time!
Timekeeper Cookie	But since it is an important device, I shall keep it.
Croissant Cookie	I'm glad you like it, Director! I'll go meet the other Cookies!
Timekeeper Cookie	It is almost time. I should put the Time Manipulator in the office before that Cookie comes.

TBD Delivery Cookie	I didn't expect much when you gave it to us, but it's better than I expected.
	The goggles were so uncomfortable, and it was such as hassle to set the coordinates every time. This is miles easier.
Croissant Cookie	That's a relief! I made this since there aren't very many employees able to use Timecrafts.
TBD Mender Cookie	It's nice not to have to drive myself! Not being able to train because of repairs is something you'd know better than anyone though, right?
Croissant Cookie	Please keep using it! I'm planning on letting every employee have one each!

String Gummy Cookie	The employees had no choice but to vote for a new Director, and you, Croissant Cookie, were chosen.

String Gummy Cookie	If Timekeeper Cookie hadn't been so irresponsible, the Director wouldn't had to have gone thought such a hard time.

• Croissant Cookie refers to travelling with GingerBrave, but the updated version of GingerBrave's tale does not seem to include the events of Operation Timeguard. In fact, the events of Operation Timeguard refer to the original GingerBrave's tale, and therefore are in direct contradiction to the new version of the story.
• Croissant Cookie mentioning how she doesn't want to become the Director refers back to Operation Timeguard, where she resolves to remain a mechanic and not follow in Timekeeper Cookie's footsteps.
