New Year's Fortune Telling! is an event in Cookie Run: OvenBreak, released midway during the Simmering Syrup Sauna Update. It was released in celebration of the 2024 Lunar New Year, and features one Cookie giving the player a fortune and a reward.
[X] Cookie approaches the player, to give them a fortune.
This event is similar in concept to Rock Paper Scissors and Dice Battle; A Cookie appears to talk to every 24 hours, and watching an ad can be done once per day to instantly meet another. Due to the shortness of this event, only two Cookies were able to be prompted, with 
Ginseng Cookie able to appear twice (once in default attire, the other as 
Chief Pharmacist). When prompted, the player can select from three differently colored scrolls; these will randomly give either a fortune or a misfortune. If the player receives a fortune, they receive 100 Crystals; if not, they receive only 50.
The background for this event is the Yakgwa Village, with watermelon trees from the background of Misty Trail Hermit present.
