Pet Egg is a type of Egg found in Cookie Run: OvenBreak. It is the lowest level of Pet Egg, and does not have a prefix. It was added during the Season 2 update on August 30th, 2017.
This Egg type is the only kind that is bought with Coins instead of Crystals. As Coins are far easier to earn, this Egg is very affordable, even more so than the Cookie Chest. To keep it from being too useful, the basic Pet Egg can not be bought for six hours after purchasing it once.
When opened, the Egg will provide 30 total copies of Pets. 16 copies are guaranteed to be unlocked Pets from the Rare category, and the remaining 14 copies will be a variety of either unlocked Common category Pets or unlocked Epic category Pets. Epic Pets are not guaranteed to come out of this Egg and come out in very low quantities when they do appear.
Buying this Egg is not recommended for trying to earn Epic Pets, but for all but the newest players, 66,000 
is practically free. This Egg can be somewhat helpful for maxing out Common Pets, since a large quantity are needed to reach max level, and the higher level Eggs contain zero Commons. Common Pets are even less useful than Common Cookies, but Pocket Strawberry has been needed in a Guild Run Arena, and it is possible the others may be needed in future Guild Runs or Grand Champions League Arenas. Upgrading any Pet helps raise Escape Level and increase the power of Cookie Cheer Squads.
In Season 1, the Pet Egg equivalent was the Pet Nest, and came in two different designs. They gave a higher amount of Common Pets, but cost Crystals. This was previously the only type of Pet Egg, and Rare or Epic Pets were received from Chests along with Cookies.
Pet Eggs were replaced by Pet Potions and Trial Star Candies in the second half of the Project Cookie Runway update on March 14th, 2023.
