They are a relatively belligerent Dragon who's eager to fight anyone that approaches, and have made countless deals with Cookies in the past to meddle with their plans. One of these battles involved their tail being cut off by Knight Cookie, which would then become the Dragon's Tail. Despite their desire for combat, they show intense resentment towards defeat, as highlighted in the Tales of the Lotus story. Much like the other dragons, they view Cookies as being inferior to them.
Eons ago, terrifying creatures roamed the land. Existing long before Cookies ran, there was a gargantuan Red Dragon with flames burning hotter than brimstone and scales shining brighter than rubies. Within the crater of a volcano, the dragon would wake with a thunderous roar that shook the heavens. Soaring through the skies, this legendary behemoth terrorized the world with cataclysmic firestorms.
Cookies of the past told tales of this tremendous creature meddling with mortal affairs, making nefarious deals, and burning entire kingdoms down to the ground. As time passed, the long-held seat of dominion for dragons, the Dragon's Valley, fell into chaos and collapsed. Dragonkind dispersed and the Red Dragon's powers began to wane.
After biding time behind a veil of smoke and lava, a smaller and crispier form emerged: Pitaya Dragon Cookie.
Will the world witness the dreaded firestorms of legend once more?

Pitaya Dragon Cookie's Skill
Soars into the air and engulfs the world in flames at certain intervals. Collect Dragonfruit Jellies that appear from the flames to swing the sword and destroy obstacles. Destroyed obstacles will create Pitaya Seed Jellies. Collecting the third Dragonfruit Jelly will unleash Red Dragon form. Obstacles destroyed while running in Red Dragon form will also create Pitaya Seed Jellies. Just before the dash ends, the Red Dragon unleashes a powerful sword strike, ending the skill. Level Up for more points for Pitaya Seed Jellies.

↑As of the UI redesign in The Witch's Mystic Attic update, this Combi Bonus became unlisted, but still works. It disables Dragon's Tail's skill, but in turn makes Pitaya Dragon Cookie's skill around 3 seconds longer.
According to the sketch released by the official Cookie Run: Kingdom Twitter account[3], Pitaya Dragon Cookie was originally intended to be a "dragon knight", a Cookie who made a deal with the Greenish Red Dragon (supposedly the one from Kakao/LINE Cookie Run) and has been slowly corrupted into a monster as a consequence of it. This was later changed for the Cookie to be the actual Greenish Red Dragon themself.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie’s draconic form might to be based around the European dragon.
An ancestor of Avocado Cookie was responsible for creating Pitaya Dragon Cookie's helm according to the story found inside the Dragon Magic Candy Puzzle event.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie was the first Legendary Cookie to have a Combi Pet, the first Cookie to have a Combi Bonus with a Pet that is a different rarity from the owner, and the first Cookie to have a Combi Bonus with multiple Pets.
Additionally, they are the first and only Cookie thus far to have three Pet Combi Bonuses. Coincidentally, these three Pets also have different rarities.
Previously in LINE Cookie Run, the Red Dragon was referred to as male. Despite this, it is unknown if this information is applicable to the current English release of Cookie Run: OvenBreak.
In Cookie Run: Kingdom, the relic Greenish Red Dragon Head Replica referred to Pitaya Dragon Cookie as male in its description. This was later changed to omit the mention of pronouns entirely a day later from the relic's release.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie holds the record for the longest time without a Costume for a Legendary Cookie, being four years, seven months, and seven days.
Dragon Fruitling, in the second half of The Dragon Awakens update. They then received a Legendary Pet, 
Wyrmfire Blade, a Magic Candy, and a second Trial, in the first half of the Clash of the Dragonkind update. They are the first of the five Legendary Dragons released into the game.
