“ Subdue the giant bosses together! „
Raid Run is a game mode in Cookie Run: OvenBreak, introduced in The Long Journey for Life update. In this mode, players can either play solo or in team together to fight a monster. There are 3 Raid Monsters that are rotated throughout the season: 2 appear 3 days a week and 1 appears only on Sunday.
Skill Helpers[]
Before starting a solo raid, skills can be given to three Skill Helpers: Pigleaf, Pupleaf, and Bunleaf. Pigleaf is unlocked after completing a raid three times, and can hold a skill up to level 9. Pupleaf is unlocked after receiving an A+ or higher rank, and can hold a skill up to level 11. Bunleaf is unlocked by upgrading a skill to at least level 11, and can hold a skill up to level 13.
Monsters[]
So far, there has been 9 monsters available in this mode, with 3 in any given season.
- Custard Queen Bee
- Baumkuchen Treant
- Poison Jelly Toad
- Giant Sugar Mantis
- Soboro Queen Bee
- Thorncap Treant
- Sand Jelly Toad
- Desert Highwaymantis
- Gloomfeeder
- Doughstomper
Of the three monsters in every season, one of them is only available for a single day; the others are available for 3 day periods at a time.
To fight the monsters, Skill Points must be collected to fill up the skills, which either unleash attacks or support the team (for Offensive and Support skills, respectively). Besides this, there are other ways in which the monsters can be defeated;
- Collecting Firecrackers throughout the stage, which deal a small amount of damage to the monster immediately.
- Collecting Bombs throughout the stage, which deal a modest amount of damage after some time in possession.
- Combos, which can be built up after every 10,000,000 points collected without taking damage. These can stack up to 50 times, with more damage with each stack. The Combo will be reset when colliding into an obstacle or falling through a hole.
- In Team Mode, Team Combos exist. These require 4,500,000 points from all team members collectively to activate, and launches a large arrow dealing ~25 stacks of 10,000,000 damage to the boss.
Team Missions[]
Team missions will be presented while running. They will require you to do a specific task, for example, collecting Jellies or destroying obstacles, and you need to complete them in 20 seconds. When completing a team mission, the boss will get tired, and you can run for a while without obstacles and many Skill Energy Jellies will appear. If failing to complete a team mission, the boss will get angry and will either attack all players or heal themselves. These also exists in Solo Mode.
Team Mode[]
Team Mode is unlocked after attaining Rank A or higher in Solo Mode. Team Mode features the ability to play in a more difficult stage with 10 total players. Players can join a premade lobby or queue with random players of similar Skill level. Before starting a raid, players can see other players' skills and Combis, and can change their own accordingly. The raid starts when everyone indicates they are ready.
Previously, Team Mode was the default setting for Raid Run, as Solo Mode did not exist until the release of Churro Cookie and Snow Sugar Cookie's skills. It took the place of the previous Hard Mode.
