Sands of Yogurca is a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak that was released alongside the Sands of Yogurca Breakout Episode at the start of Season Four.

The story follows Alchemist Cookie and Yogurt Cream Cookie as they look for the cause of a blizzard in the desert.

These cutscenes can be unlocked by collecting Jellies in the Sands of Yogurca Breakout Episode, and can be viewed there whenever it is in rotation. These cutscenes have since been combined with the In the Shadows of the Dunes cutscenes in the in-game story player.

Summary

The story begins on Pirate Cookie's ship. Alchemist Cookie wants to cross the ocean to find a book on the origin of alchemy that she believes is in the faraway city of Yogurca. Pirate Cookie protests, saying his ship is not for passengers, but he agrees once Deckhand Crabby whispers to him a rumor of a land filled with Treasures across the sea. As they get close to port, the ship runs into a mysterious blizzard, and Alchemist Cookie wonders how this is possible, as Yogurca is a desert. The storm causes no problems for the ship as they dock, and Pirate Cookie and Deckhand Crabby split up from Alchemist Cookie so they can look for Treasures while Alchemist Cookie looks for her tome.

Alchemist Cookie hears a shopkeeper advertising the finest goods, and asks if they have any tomes about the origins of alchemy. The shopkeeper shows her a large collection of books, but she has already read every one. They recommend she goes to see the city's grandest collector, whose collection of worldly Treasures includes tomes on alchemy. Alchemist Cookie thanks the shopkeep for the tip and leaves to see this collector, though she suspects getting the book from him is going to be difficult.

Yogurt Cream Cookie is relaxing on his bed, with his pet Magic Lamp fanning him and his bodyguard Lilac Cookie by his side when Alchemist Cookie arrives. He confirms that he owns an ancient tome on alchemy, and Alchemist Cookie asks to buy it. Yogurt Cream Cookie is amused by her directness, but says that he can't give up a valuable item that easily, proving her suspicion right. Alchemist Cookie asks him what the catch is, and he talks of a vague job that's been on his mind lately, and asks for her to do it without giving any details. Yogurt Cream Cookie assumes she has agreed despite silence from the other Cookies in the room, and moves on to tell her of a fierce blizzard in the desert. He believes the storm is caused by a Treasure, and would be willing to trade the book she wants for the hypothetical Treasure. Alchemist Cookie agrees on the trade, calling it an equivalent exchange.

Alchemist Cookie is navigating frozen and snow covered sand dunes and being followed by Yogurt Cream Cookie, who is fashionably bundled up for the blizzard in his Chic Traveler Costume. She asks him what the point of giving her the job is when he is coming as well, and the collector responds that a snowy desert has never been explored before and he wanted to see it personally. He goes on to add that is no danger when his bodyguard is with them, not mentioning that Lilac Cookie is there to only protect him. Alchemist Cookie is thinking of snow monsters found in blizzards when on cue a snowman monster grabs Yogurt Cream Cookie from behind. He screams out, but Alchemist Cookie remains serious as ever and calmly notes the monster. Yogurt Cream Cookie yells at the other two Cookies to help him, and his bodyguard prepares to throw a chakram at the monster, but he stops Lilac Cookie as he's worried that the other Cookie will miss and hit him instead. The monster carries him off as his bodyguard decidedly does nothing to help. Alchemist Cookie reluctantly decides to follow him, for the sake of her tome.

Yogurt Cream Cookie is carried by the monster to the burrow where the legendary pet Thundersnow Yeti is creating more snow monsters. He doesn't think the pet is very exciting, as he'd hoped the storm was caused by a Treasure, but Alchemist Cookie recognizes the Yeti and tells him of its legendary status, saying that they should take the yeti back to its home. He decides he instead wants to add the legendary pet to his collection, which causes it to cry and hide from him, though Yogurt Cream Cookie doesn't understand what he did wrong.

The blizzard subsides as Thundersnow Yeti calms down, and Alchemist Cookie refuses to trade the pet, deciding she can look for alchemy's truth elsewhere. Pirate Cookie meets back up with her, now in his Ghost Pirate form for no apparent reason (much to Yogurt Cream Cookie's confusion), as he and Deckhand Crabby had apparently been having their own dangerous adventures. Alchemist Cookie is relieved to see the transport home for herself and Thundersnow Yeti, but as she tries to tell Pirate Cookie about her new acquaintance, Yogurt Cream Cookie interrupts her to say he wants to travel with them, and perhaps add Pirate Cookie's ship to his collection. Pirate Cookie explains that it isn't for sale, as it is part of his soul, but he eagerly agrees to work as a passenger ferry when Yogurt Cream Cookie offers to trade him some Treasures, and Alchemist Cookie lets out a sigh of resignation.
