“ This definitely isn't a normal house. „ — Adventurer Cookie
Spooky Spider Mansion (Korean: 오싹오싹 거미저택, ossagossak gomijotaek) is a Breakout Episode released with Truffle Cookie in the first half of the Spooky Spider Mansion update. It's a mysterious mansion owned by Truffle Cookie, who, along with
Onion Cookie,
Blackberry Cookie, and
Adventurer Cookie, are considered to be the main components of this Breakout Episode. Like its predecessors, Black Sugar Pirate Ship, and the Coin variant of The City of Wizards, this Breakout Episode is entirely composed of Coins, Treasure Chests, and other unique elements.
When Breakout: Random Challenge was added to the game, the Coin-based Special Episodes slot was removed, and this Breakout became out of rotation. With the re-addition of the Coin Breakouts in the Lights, Camera, Action! update, this Episode was added back into rotation.
Prior to its re-addition in the Lights, Camera, Action! update, the Breakout Episode was unique in that it only calculated the amount of Coins the player collected overall for its rank and leaderboards, requiring the extensive use of Coin-related Cookies, or Cookies who were able to spawn the unique Treasure Chests. It was reworked later to be a normal scoring Breakout Episode, only providing bonus points for Coins.
Gameplay Elements[]
Spooky Spider Mansion hosts a variety of unique gameplay elements that were originally exclusive to it, which encompasses the following:
Unique Coins[]

The unique Coins.
Like with the Black Sugar Pirate Ship Breakout Episode, Spooky Spider Mansion has its own variants of Coins, which are either called "Spider Mansion Coins", or "Ghost Coins". These Coins are usually transparent, requiring the usage of the special Ghost Coin Parties to make them visible and able to be collected. The small Ghost Coins count for 30 Coins each, while the Giant variant count for 300 Coins each.
Furthermore, there is an additional type of Coin, signified by the Bear Jelly in the middle, these Coins are extremely rare and the gold-colored variant only appears at the end of stages in this Episode, where it grants the player 1,000 Coins. There is also a rainbow-colored variant as well, though it has only appeared in special events, such as the Fever Day Every Day event. These Coins are much higher in value than the gold-colored variant, granting the player 10,000 Coins each.
Hidden Treasure Chests[]

The treasure chest alongside its Jellies.
Another unique elements of the Breakout Episode, these treasure chests only spawn if the running Cookie is either Adventurer Cookie,
Blackberry Cookie,
Truffle Cookie, or
Onion Cookie.
When opened, these chests spawn special Coin Jellies that grant the player a total of 3,700 Coins per chest.
Secret Rooms[]

The secret rooms alongside their key.
Originally experimented with during the Cookie Detective: Solve the Mystery event, this hidden room gimmick is reintroduced here as part of the Spooky Hallway stage, in which there are two secret rooms that can only be accessed by collecting the special key Jelly next to their doors. Inside these rooms, there is a scarce amount of Coins, and Energy does not drain until the Cookie exits out of them.
Chasing Stuffed Bear[]

Creepy!
Originally introduced in Friendly Run, the chasing boss reappears here in a new form as a damaged stuffed bear that comes to life after the Cookie collects its key Jelly. Once activated, the stuffed bear pursues the Cookie throughout the stage. To escape, the Cookie must collect orbs of light scattered along the path. These orbs temporarily delay the stuffed bear's approach, giving the Cookie some breathing room. However, the stuffed bear will not stop entirely until all orbs are collected.

1. Spooky Hallway[]This stage is fairly easy, though there are a few moving obstacles, including haunted paintings and furniture, and there are two secret rooms to look out for. The first secret room, a bathroom, is found slightly over a third into the stage. After a section of moving floors and a small Potion, staying on lower levels leads to the door and key under a higher floor. In this room, there is a ride on a moving platform where the Cookie grabs Giant Coins above them. The second secret room is found soon after the paintings of Bears wearing top hats start appearing. A trampoline leads to an upper level, and ignoring it leads to the secret. This room, a library or gallery, has levers which activate ghostly platforms. Staying on the higher ground lets the Cookie grab Coins of all kinds, including a special Giant Gold Coin worth 1,000 Coins at the end. The stage ends with Jelly composition art that includes a giant Potion. |

2. Creepy Parlor[]The obstacles move around more in the second stage, starting with a cloud of green ghosts, some of whom dive down at the Cookie. Clocks move backwards, and there are cobwebs, cups, books, and even a falling piano to avoid. In the middle section of the stage there are spiders that lift or drop stuffed animals. After a spider drops down a giant Potion, there is a much larger stuffed animal with a wind-up key. Touching the key causing it to charge forward like obstacles seen in Friendly Run and |

3. Eerie Balcony[]The one outdoors stage has more pits to watch out for. There are statues and swooping gargoyles in the first half of the stage. This leads to moving spider platforms and smaller bats to avoid, some holding platforms that drop when landed on, or carrying Ghost Coin Parties. There are tight jumps further into the stage and a number of Basic Jellies, which can be converted with Cookies like |

Trivia[]
- Prior to Onion Cookie's release,
Leek Cookie temporarily also had the ability to spawn Coin Chests, meaning he was likely a placeholder for her.
- This is likely due to the similarities leeks share with onions.
- Spooky Spider Mansion was the first Breakout Episode with no Legendary Cookies or Pets in its Weekly Reward that thematically match the episode.
- The paintings in the background of Spooky Hallway parody multiple famous works of art. The image of a Pink Bear holding its arms to its face references The Scream by Edvard Munch, the image of a smiling Yellow Bear with a blue hat and prominent earring references Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer, and the image of a flat Yellow Bear on an edge references The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dalí. The final painting of three apples, one with a Yellow Bear face, does not seem to reference any particular work, but fruit are a frequent subject in still lifes by both beginner and professional artists.
- In the behind the scenes video for
Truffle Cookie, storyboards for the whole first act of chapter 1 are shown. But only the last one (Truffle Cookie finding the doll) was used in the final event.
