Spooky Spider Mansion is a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak that was released alongside the Spooky Spider Mansion Breakout Episode during the update of the same name.

The story follows Adventurer Cookie, Blackberry Cookie, Sandwich Cookie, Cheerleader Cookie, Popcorn Cookie, Vampire Cookie, and Fairy Cookie as they visit Truffle Cookie's house looking for a lost doll.

These cutscenes can be unlocked by collecting Coins in the Spooky Spider Mansion Breakout Episode or by use of Story Keys. The Cutscenes can be viewed whenever it is in rotation or in Moments in Time section in the Story player.

Summary

Blackberry Cookie is doing laundry in Adventurer Cookie's Mansion, and decides to clean the attic. She finds a doll which she has not seen in a long while, but a gust of wind blows it into the neighbor's yard. Adventurer Cookie announces he is back from his adventure, and has brought friends along for a slumber party. Blackberry Cookie decides to pick the doll up when she is done taking care of the guests, and a mysterious Cookie picks the doll up and brings it inside.

After a pillow fight, Blackberry Cookie tells her employer she is going out to Spider Mansion to retrieve the doll. Adventurer Cookie is worried, and explains to his friends that the owner of the Spider Mansion, Truffle Cookie, allegedly stays on the porch waiting for Cookies to visit, before tying them up in spider webs and keeping them captive. He says he was seen by Truffle Cookie in her garden as a child and ran away. Adventurer Cookie comes along with Blackberry to protect her, and the rest of the group joins him.

By the time they arrive, a storm has started, reminding Popcorn Cookie of horror movies. Truffle Cookie greets them, and says the wind brings many things which she stores in her house. She invites them inside to search for it, and sets off to make tea for them, while warning them to not touch anything and to ignore strange noises.

The group enters a side room and all members look for the doll- except Vampire Cookie, who lays on the bed. After checking the whole room, they hear a crying sound, which Popcorn Cookie attributes to a ghost. On their way out of the room to search for the sound, Adventurer Cookie checks under the bed, and finds a toy covered in cobwebs, though not the doll they are looking for.

They find a door where the crying is coming from, and before they enter, Cheerleader Cookie notices strawberry jam on the stairs to the basement, and Sandwich Cookie smells something rotten.

Truffle Cookie appears suddenly and asks if they have found the doll yet, startling Adventurer Cookie. She tells them not to check the basement, as the doll wouldn't be down there. Sandwich Cookie is suspicious, but Vampire Cookie doesn't want to walk down the stairs anyway, so he checks another room.

In the next room, Fairy Cookie notices a moving portrait of a bear, and Popcorn Cookie starts talking about how it reminds her of the ghosts of horror movies, scaring Cheerleader Cookie. Adventurer Cookie is saying that ghosts don't exist when the lights flicker, the crying starts again, and furniture starts to move on its own. Drawers open and close, the clocks move backwards, and objects fly around the room. The closet doors open on their own, and all the Cookies look inside to see who is responsible.

Onion Cookie is in the closet, and can not stop crying. Blackberry Cookie recognizes her, but Adventurer Cookie does not. Onion Cookie is not sure how she came to be in the Manor, and Sandwich Cookie hypothesizes it may be Truffle Cookie's doing. Adventurer Cookie brings Onion Cookie into the group.

The doll has still not been found, and only the basement and parlor have not been searched. Cheerleader Cookie leads the way to the parlor, through the dark hallways. When they arrive at the parlor, a head count reveals that Vampire Cookie has gone missing. Sandwich again believes Truffle Cookie is responsible for this, but Blackberry Cookie doubts it. The parlor has many dolls, covered in spider webs, which Fairy Cookie gets stuck in. Sandwich Cookie helps her out, as the others finally find the lost doll on a moving rocking chair. Onion Cookie sees a gargoyle move outside and starts to panic, and the furniture once again becomes mobile, and a chandelier threatens to fall.

Everyone is unharmed, and Blackberry Cookie tries to calm down the crying Cookie, giving Onion her doll. Adventurer realizes the doll did not belong to his maid, but looks familiar. He wonders if Onion Cookie lives nearby, and if they played together as children. The apparent ghost has seemingly calmed down, but the fallen chandelier blocks the path to the door. Adventurer Cookie ties his rope to where the chandelier was hanging, and swings his comrades over, but the door won't open. Thinking he may be trapped forever, he apologizes to Blackberry Cookie for being so reckless, and promises to give her a gift if they return home- and she responds by showing him that the door he couldn't open was simply a sliding door.

The group reluctantly heads down to the basement, where a large, fancy dining table is laid out and covered in webs, and a Cookie is in the shadows at the far end of the table.

Vampire Cookie is at the end of the table, fast asleep. Truffle Cookie finds the group, and invites them to dine, but they prepare to run when they see the spiders behind her. Sandwich Cookie sees that Vampire Cookie is not afraid, and happily drinking grape juice. He explains that he wasn't taken captive, just was tired of walking and found a comfortable bed to sleep in. Truffle Cookie found him and invited him to the basement, which is the actual parlor. The room the group thought was the parlor was Truffle Cookie's antiques collection, and the parlor is located in the basement to prepare surprise parties more easily. Spiders bring plates and tea to the table, and Truffle Cookie explains the mysterious scent was her favorite scented candle, and that she put Onion Cookie's doll in the rocking chair by the window to dry it.

After the feast, the Cookies all thank Truffle Cookie on their way out of the manor. Adventurer Cookie wishes to bring Onion Cookie to her home, but he does not know where she lives, and neither does she or Truffle Cookie. Blackberry Cookie offers to escort her home, but she takes up Adventurer Cookie's invite to play at his house. Blackberry Cookie reminds her boss of the present he promised, and he tells her it is a new candle holder from his latest adventure. With a small smile, she tells him that his safe return is a better gift.

Blackberry Cookie	Clear skies and sunny. A perfect day for laundry. I must get started on cleaning.
Blackberry Cookie	Before the laundry, I will start with the attic. It is much too cluttered.
Blackberry Cookie	Hmm. Dusty adventure storybooks. Old portraits... And what's this? A mirror from an expedition...
Blackberry Cookie	Ah. It has been a while since I've laid eyes upon this doll. I will wash this too.

• According to developers on the official Cookie Run Discord , the Cookies present at Adventurer Cookie's slumber party were selected based on horror movie clichés. Sandwich Cookie represents the "smart nerd" trope, Cheerleader Cookie represents the "sociable/hip" trope, Vampire Cookie represents the reluctant character that says "Don't do that/You shouldn't do that..." and Popcorn Cookie represents "the curious character who makes things blow out of proportion."
  • Fairy Cookie did not fit any tropes, and was chosen because her "butterfly vibes" were interesting in a spider-themed environment.
