Surprise Bears are a game mechanic added with the release of The Sweet Signals from Space update. They can be found while running across most of the game's modes.

Description[]

TBA Cookie

An image of a Cookie collecting a Surprise Bear.

Surprise Bears replace the Magic Ingredient Pouches, Mini Crystal Jars, and Lucky Cookie Jars of prior updates. In turn, they contain almost all the previous rewards of those three, minus the Guild Run ingredients (which went to the Gem Exchange Center).

A maximum of one Surprise bear can be found per run, which can have one of six possible rarities, indicated by the number of stars and its color upon retrieval. Collected Surprise Bears are not opened right away, but are instead stored in the Rewards tab in one of three slots; if all three slots are full, Surprise Bears stop appearing. Each Surprise bear requires completing a specific mission, and while all 1-Star Surprise Bears require running once, all other rarities have a specific game mode to run in, and rank requirement to achieve.

Collecting and opening Surprise Bears rewards mileage, which can be stored to instantly rank up any given Surprise Bear of choice. 600 Mileage per rank star is required to do this once; for instance, a 3-star Surprise Bear requires 1,800 Mileage to promote to a 4-star Surprise Bear. If the player does not wish to open any given Surprise Bear, they can choose to break it for a set amount of Crystals; doing this rewards the mileage, but not any other rewards.
