The third, fourth and fifth chapters follow Habanero Cookie as he navigates the underground of the Dragon's Valley with Fire Spirit Cookie.
Peperoncino Cookie is searching through the Dragon's Valley, when he suddenly encounters the energetic Cauliflower Cookie— a researcher that has journeyed into the Valley to look into the cause behind the unnatural cooling of the Valley. The stoic Peperoncino Cookie is somewhat overwhelmed by Cauliflower Cookie's onslaught of questions, and is relieved when she finally leaves.

In-game Summary
Cauliflower Cookie shares some of her Jelly rations with Peperoncino Cookie. However, the sweet taste of them brings back bitter memories for the stoic Cookie, causing him to flee. Cauliflower Cookie tries to get him to at least take some Jellies with him, but Peperoncino Cookie declines, believing that he doesn't deserve them. He once again encourages Cauliflower Cookie to leave the Valley, but Cauliflower Cookie remains as focused as ever on her goal— She shares her concerns that the Dragon's Valley might not be the only place undergoing abnormal changes to its environment. Something is happening to the earth* and she believes that it's imperative to find out the exact cause. A Temporary Alliance[]
In-game Summary
With Peperoncino Cookie guarding the central lava cradle, Cauliflower Cookie resolves to research other parts of the Valley. Suddenly, the ground spilts underneath her, fascinating the Cookie. Immediately engrossed with cataloging the details of the fissure, she tries to climb down it for a better vantage point. While descending, an earthquake makes her lose her grip! Luckily, Cauliflower Cookie is saved by Peperoncino Cookie, who is incensed and baffled by the other Cookie's reckless actions. Concerned by his reaction, Cauliflower Cookie pivots suddenly, now determined to try and help Peperoncino Cookie after how much he has helped her. Peperoncino Cookie relents, and shares how he was not always alone in the Valley. He had a Cookie that was precious to him, but the two were separated by the earthquakes, his companion falling into one of the fissures in the earth. Now, Peperoncino Cookie is searching for that Cookie.
After being separated, Peperoncino Cookie witnessed a Cookie with the power of fire. He believes that with that power, he could find his precious Cookie.

Moving on from theory, Cauliflower Cookie explains that they need to find a way to infuse the life force in the earth into Peperoncino Cookie. The best way to do this would be to bury him in the ground, and even though Cauliflower Cookie knows a perfect spot for this, she concedes that you can't just bury a Cookie like that. Instead, they can make use of a medium like Peperoncino Cookie's sword to transfer the power. Once the life force is infused into the sword, it should resonate with the treasure. Peperoncino Cookie begins the long process.

Peperoncino Cookie plunges his sword into the earth and while initially overwhelmed by the power, he manages to hold on claiming the power for himself! Successful, the two part ways, with Cauliflower Cookie eager to continue her research back at her lab and Peperoncino Cookie determined to find his precious Cookie.

In-game Summary
Habanero Cookie finds himself in the underground depths of the Dragon's Valley. He soon encounters a strange Wisp, who insists that he is the legendary Fire Spirit Cookie. Habanero Cookie scoffs at the orb, not believing his claims at all. Fire Spirit Cookie bemoans the loss of his staff, and is taunted by Habanero Cookie for losing it in the first place. Annoyed, Fire Spirit Cookie leaves the young Cookie alone.
Time passes, and Habanero Cookie remains stuck in the caverns. He fights various monsters and attempts to survive, but finds himself starting to miss Peperoncino Cookie.

Realizing that this must be the staff that that orb lost, Habanero Cookie decides to take the staff with him to return to the orb, fantasizing about how grateful the orb will be. However before he can take the staff, the Picky Pyro-tiger appears— because the staff is in its den!
Elsewhere, Fire Spirit Cookie, still stuck as an orb, continues to look for his staff, bemoaning his current lack of powers. He's interrupted by the sudden arrival of Habanero Cookie— who's being chased by the Picky Pyro-Tiger!

In-game Summary
Habanero Cookie celebrates outrunning the Picky Pyro-tiger while Fire Spirit Cookie questions if the young Cookie even knows just what the Pyro-Tiger is. Picky Pyro-Tiger is a monster that's lived underneath the Dragon's Valley since ancient times- so vicious that even Fire Spirit Cookie lost his staff to the monster. Habanero Cookie is reminded that he found said staff, but decides he doesn't want to tell Fire Spirit Cookie. Exasperated, Fire Spirit Cookie promises to grant a wish for Habanero Cookie, to which the young Cookie requests that the orb becomes his sidekick! Fire Spirit Cookie decides that if Habanero Cookie could find his staff, then he can find it too.
Habanero Cookie encounters the Picky Pyro-tiger again, the monster popping up whenever the young Cookie tried to climb the cliff out of the depths of the Valley. It seems the only way out of the caverns is by defeating it. Habanero Cookie and Fire Spirit Cookie are able settle on a deal- they'll work together to get Fire Spirit Cookie's staff back and get out of the caverns. Then the two will duel, and if Habanero Cookie wins, Fire Spirit Cookie will call him captain.

Before they became separated, or even came to the Dragon's Valley, Peperoncino Cookie tells Habanero Cookie the story of the dragon and the fire. In the Dragon's Valley, there was a Cookie trapped in an eternal fire. To escape, the Cookie made a deal with the Red Dragon. Habanero Cookie idolizes that Cookie, and wonders if he could also become strong by making a deal with a dragon. Peperoncino Cookie, worried about Habanero Cookie's safety, tries to dissuade him, but the pair ultimately venture into the Valley. In the present, Peperoncino Cookie festers in his regrets, wondering if he will ever see Habanero Cookie again.

Habanero Cookie and Fire Spirit Cookie prepare to fight the Picky Pyro-tiger, waiting for it to fall asleep so they can sneak past it to retrieve the staff. They successfully find the staff, but in his current form, Fire Spirit Cookie isn't strong enough to lift it. Habanero Cookie too, finds himself struggling to carry it. Before they know it, the commotion the two cause wakes up the Pyro-tiger! The two flee, but staff is too unwieldily, and Habanero Cookie drops it when it gets caught on a rock. As it's too dangerous to try and get it back, the two are forced to leave it behind. While trying to climb up to escape the tiger, the two manage to fall into... an even deeper part of the Valley?
The two argue about who's at fault, eventually separating. Alone, Habanero Cookie wonders about Peperoncino Cookie— if he's looking for Habanero Cookie and if he'll ever see him again. The two meet back up, Fire Spirit Cookie teasing Habanero Cookie about being scared and crying. In the quiet darkness, Habanero Cookie asks if the orb really is Fire Spirit Cookie— revealing how he idolizes the story of the Cookie and the Dragon, and also sharing his fears of Peperoncino Cookie forgetting about him. Perhaps feeling soft for the young Cookie, Fire Spirit Cookie makes an effort to cheer him up.
