Yakgwa Village: Haunting Tales is a story in Cookie Run: OvenBreak released during the Yakgwa Village: Haunting Tales update.
The story follows 
Okchun Cookie and her pursuit to help the Yakgwa Village with its recent invasion of malevolent ghosts and goblins. She enlists the help of the reclusive exorcist, 
Gim Cookie, from the shrine in the mountains. The two work (in Gim Cookie's case, begrudgingly) together, but Gim Cookie soon begins to notice something... off about Okchun Cookie...

| Okchun Cookie decides to lead the villagers to safety, away from the Claw Summoner! But just then, she says something strange, and leads the Cookies away from the office and into the mountain. After, Okchun Cookie returns to Gim Cookie and offers to play bait to exorcise the Claw Summoner. She falls in danger, but Gim Cookie saves her and expels the ghost. Later, Gim Cookie is offered to stay at the office as a reward for saving Okchun Cookie. Sensing something strange, he decides to put up his talismans around the office. On his way back to his room, he finds Okchun Cookie still up in her room, staring into a mirror on her vanity and muttering to herself. Gim Cookie thinks he saw the vanity's drawer shine for a second, but pushes the thought aside.
