Yakgwa Village: Haunting Tales is a Title Event in Cookie Run: OvenBreak, released in the first half of the Yakgwa Village: Haunting Tales update.

Frightening monsters are disturbing the peace! Earn points, exorcise the monsters, and save the village!
Gameplay[]
Players within the event run through designated maps and accumulate points to reach the score requirements for ranks.
Similar to Raid Run, players fight against bosses through scoring points. However, Yakgwa Village: Haunting Tales removes the skills found in Raid Runs and allows players to run with more than one Cookie. Upon exorcising a monsters upon reaching the final rank, the next monster will be unlocked. Once all three monsters are defeated, a new difficulty for all three will unlock. Players can rerun through all the monsters' domains to achieve better scores. Players can also select the previously run Cookie in order to rerun and achieve a greater score at any point in the full run.
In Crazy difficulty, players are additionally given a Buff Talisman for each Cookie in the run. These buffs are set, and cannot be moved around between runners. In leader boards, only the total scores found in the Crazy difficulty domains is accounted for.

Normal
- A list of available Cookies, Pets, and treasures is specified.
Hard
- A list of available Cookies, Pets, and treasures is specified.
- Each Cookie, Pet, and Treasures can only be used once.
- Even after running with all available Cookies and Pets, and the final rank is not achieved, the exorcism fails.
Crazy
- A list of available Cookies, Pets, and treasures is specified.
- Each Cookie, Pet, and Treasures can only be used once.
- There is a limit on the number of runners specified for each monster.
- Each runner receives different buffs.
- Even after running with a specified number of runners, and the final rank is not achieved, the exorcism fails.
- After successfully achieving the final rank and exorcising, if there are remaining runners, you can continue running.
- Bonuses are applied to the scores obtained after successful exorcisms.
